Sanscrit 1867 This manuscript contains 9 folios (2-10) from beginning of the Kumārasaṃbhava of Kālidāsa. Apart from the missing first folio, the first chapter is complete, ending at verse 62, which is numbered variously in different editions (for example, 59 in the edition of T. Gaṇapati Śāstrī). The manuscript contains many commentarial annotations, as well as interlineal word-break markers and avagrahas. KumārasaṃbhavaKālidāsa ṣo guṇasannipāte nimajjatīndoḥ kiraṇeṣv ivāṃkaḥ || 3 || avacitavalipuṣpā vedisaṃmāryadakṣā⁁ niyamitapariṣedā tacchiraś candrapādaiḥ || 62 || 2-10. Devanāgarī numerals, verso. Bottom-left and bottom-right margins.Some damage, worn around the edges. The scribe often uses a nukta below the ya, as in modern Bengāli script. The acquisition number 3095, given on the paper sleeve, corresponds to an entry in the registry of acquisitions dated 10 May 1842. This refers to a group of manuscripts bought from Leclere libraire (perhaps Henri-Adrien Leclère).
