The Aparārka is a 12th century commentary on the Yājñavalkyasmṛti. It is here edited by Harinarayan Apte and published as part of the Anandasrama Sanskrit Series.

The present copy was acquired by the University of Toronto in 1966 according to the library stamp. The pages of the digital facsimile have been ordered back to front.

nandipurāṇe —

“mahatāṃ sūkṣmadehānāṃ tathā ca vyādhitātmanām | hiṃsrāṇāṃ saumyamūrttināṃ sarvadā hy abhayāt sukham || varam ekasya sattvasya jīvitābhayarakṣaṇam | na tu viprasahasrasya gosahasraṃ sadakṣiṇam ||

mahābhārate —

“lobhād dveṣād bhayād vāpi yas tyajec charaṇāgataṃ | brahmahatyāsamaṃ tasya pāpam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ” ||

tathā —

“prāṇināṃ vadhyamānaṃ hi yaḥ śaktaḥ samupekṣate | sa yāti narakaṃ ghoram iti prāhur manīṣiṇaḥ || catuḥsāgaraparyantāṃ yo dadyāt pṛthivīm imām | sattvebhyo 'thābhayaṃ yaś ca tayor abhayado 'dhikaḥ”
