The Dānamayūkha is one of 12 mayūkhas of the Bhagavantabhāskara, a legal digest by Nīlakaṇṭha Bhaṭṭa, who was active in the first half of the 17th century (Banerji 1999, 66).

Although this book is missing the title page, a comparison with another copy shows that it is the edition published by the Vidyā Vilās Press in 1909. There is also an edition published in Bombay, which was reprinted in 1986; there are no variant readings for this passage therein (ed. Vyaṃkateśa Śāstrī 1986, 287).
